Strong manufacturing communities are built on more than products and processes. They are built on relationships, collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to developing future talent. For many years, Lisa Anderson worked alongside manufacturing leaders through the Manufacturers Council of the Inland Empire (MCIE), helping strengthen connections across the manufacturing community while supporting initiatives focused on innovation, workforce development, and business growth. Through these efforts, manufacturers, educators, students, and industry leaders came together to share ideas, recognize achievements, and create opportunities for long-term success.

Recognizing Innovation Across Manufacturing

One of the most visible examples of this collaboration was the E=MC² Innovation Awards. Lisa served as the lead for the awards program while Wally served as Chair, working together to recognize manufacturers that demonstrated innovation in areas such as product development, workforce development, marketing, and operational excellence.

The awards highlighted organizations that were finding new ways to compete, grow, and create value while showcasing the strength and ingenuity of manufacturers throughout the Inland Empire region.

Supporting the Next Generation of Manufacturing Talent

A shared passion for developing future talent became another important part of the relationship. Manufacturing leaders continue to face workforce challenges as experienced professionals retire and demand for skilled talent increases.

Through discussions, events, and outreach efforts, Lisa and her colleagues worked to encourage students and emerging professionals to explore opportunities in manufacturing, supply chain management, and related technical careers. These efforts helped create awareness of the exciting opportunities available in modern manufacturing while supporting the long-term health of the industry.

Strengthening the Manufacturing Community

Industry organizations play an important role in bringing manufacturers together to learn from one another and address common challenges. Through MCIE, manufacturers were able to exchange ideas, share best practices, discuss emerging trends, and build relationships that extended well beyond individual companies.

These connections created opportunities for collaboration and helped strengthen the broader manufacturing ecosystem throughout the region.

Creating Opportunities for Long-Term Success

The strongest manufacturing organizations understand that success depends on more than internal operations. It also depends on access to knowledge, relationships, talent, and innovation.

The collaboration between LMA Consulting Group, MCIE, and manufacturing leaders such as Wally demonstrates the value of investing in industry partnerships that support continuous improvement, workforce development, and business growth. By working together, manufacturers can accelerate learning, strengthen competitiveness, and create opportunities that benefit the entire manufacturing community.

A Shared Commitment to Manufacturing Excellence

At LMA Consulting Group, we believe that innovation, leadership, talent development, and collaboration are essential ingredients for long-term success. Our involvement with organizations such as the Manufacturers Council of the Inland Empire reflects our commitment to helping manufacturers build stronger organizations, develop future leaders, and create lasting value for their businesses and communities.
