Lisa Anderson, President of LMA Consulting Group, joined Quality Digest to discuss the growing importance of supply chains in an increasingly volatile global environment. Once largely unnoticed outside of operations and logistics circles, supply chains have become a critical business priority as companies navigate disruptions ranging from pandemics and labor shortages to geopolitical conflicts and shifting customer expectations.

In this interview, Lisa shares insights on the challenges facing manufacturers and distributors, including rising costs, supply shortages, and the impact of global events such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict. She also discusses practical strategies for building more resilient supply chains, including supplier diversification, reshoring and nearshoring, inventory optimization, advanced technologies, and proactive planning processes that help companies anticipate and respond to changing conditions.

Watch the interview to learn how organizations can strengthen supply chain resilience, improve responsiveness, and position themselves to thrive amid uncertainty and disruption.

One Tip to Implement This Week:

Although we all hope this war will get settled and peace will return, it has proven that the supply chain is something to pay attention to. Clients should be reevaluating suppliers, reshoring/ nearshoring, reviewing buffer stock / strategic stock levels, analyzing customer / product profitability, using advanced technological concepts such as 3D printing and predictive data analytics etc. We talk about these topic in my interview with Quality Digest.
