Congratulations to LMA Award Winners

LMA Consulting Recognizes LMA Advocate & Futurist Award Winners

As LMA Consulting celebrates its 20 year anniversary date, we wanted to recognize key colleagues with our LMA Advocate and LMA Futurist awards.

As the world is riddled with volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) yet vast opportunities are on the horizon, what stands out to us is that the most successful clients and leaders are forward-thinking, collaborative, innovative, and futuristic – with an important bent on execution (“making things happen”). A few of the attributes include:

  • The core is foundational: forward-thinking, collaborative, innovative, and futuristic
  • Willing to invest wisely when others panic: For example, they invest in predictive processes such as SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning), artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, and in developing top talent.
  • Trial and test new ideas without fear: Instead of giving up as soon as a failure occurs somewhere on the road to success, they keep going in the quest to continually learn, improve and make leaps forward at key junctures.
  • Excellence in execution: There is something to be said about staying focused on pragmatic bottom-line results.

Thus, we are thrilled to share our 20th anniversary award winners.

What are the LMA Advocate & Futurist Awards?

We are passionate about recognizing colleagues who are instrumental to LMA Consulting, business, and end-to-end supply chain success.

LMA Advocate

On the 10th anniversary of LMA Consulting Group Inc., we wanted to recognize those people who have been instrumental to our growth and success. We have always believed in the critical importance of people. For example, our inaugural newsletter from LMA Consulting’s founding in 2005, Profit through People remains our flagship brand because although most clients call us because of our manufacturing, supply chain and technology expertise, the 80/20 of success goes straight to people!

LMA Advocates are cornerstone to our success. Although I’ve learned plenty along the way, one thing I did “right” from the start was “collect” good people. These are some of the “best of the best” we’ve worked with through the years. These people have gone over and beyond for LMA, and I am eternally thankful and thrilled to recognize them!

LMA Futurist

Over the next few years, supply chains will transform as companies are starkly aware of geopolitical risks and global trade shifts, artificial intelligence’s critical importance in fueling dramatic growth and productivity, and a renewed appreciation for re-industrialization in combination with advanced technologies. Forward-thinking leaders with a focus on innovation and an eye to the future will be pivotal to thrive in the next decade.

The LMA Futurist is to recognize the organization and leaders who go above and beyond “excellence”. Although excellence is certainly desirable, it is no longer enough. We must achieve excellence, resilience and see into the future so that we can be innovative, proactive and strategic instead of reactive and playing catch up in the marketplace. Thus, the LMA Futurist embodies these qualities and recognizes organizational leaders who think beyond current circumstances, prepare their organization for changing conditions and, most importantly, braze the trail into the future.

Congratulations to 2025 LMA Advocate, Tony Martinez

I’m thrilled to recognize Tony Martinez with the LMA Advocate award.

Tony Martinez and I have worked together on the ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management), formerly known as APICS, Inland Empire Board of Directors for 20 years! Not only is Tony an experienced supply chain leader and well-respected in the region, but he also puts passion and forethought into his role in our chapter. He has been integral to our chapter being known as forward-thinking, innovative and supportive of the future of our profession. Tony is best epitomized by his title, VP of Special Projects, as he simply performs whatever role is needed to ensure the success of our chapter, our members, our students, and me. We have also worked together on a few client projects and collaborated on creating strategies and developing plans to ensure success and value. Tony’s expertise and support have been integral to my success and LMA Consulting’s longevity and continued growth.

Congratulations to 2025 LMA Futurist, Julie Dorr

I’m excited to recognize Julie Dorr with the LMA Futurist award.

Julie Dorr and I worked together closely for several years when I first kick started LMA marketing. I was referred to Julie as I realized that although I had been writing newsletter articles and speaking at events since I formed LMA, I was a well-kept secret. I had no idea when I asked her to post blog articles that she would be forward-thinking, full of ideas, and futuristic. After one minute of dialogue, we left blog posts in the dust and become enthralled in a futurist conversation that led to dramatic growth in LMA Consulting. Fast-forward a few years, and I emerged as a thought leader and overnight success. Julie was integral in accelerating this success. She not only thinks beyond what is next to three or four steps down-the-line, but she is creative, passionate and focused on results. As her career transitioned back to corporate, she stayed true to her futurist core as one of the first to embrace AI for exponential growth and taking on the role of ABM strategist to drive dramatic B2B growth and customer value.
