Manufacturing Connector®
On LMA Consulting’s 20th anniversary, we wanted to recognize the importance of our Manufacturing Connector® brand. From the inception of our supply chain consulting firm, relationships, partnerships, connections, and collaborations have been of paramount importance. Not only have these Manufacturing Connector® attributes been key to the growth of LMA Consulting, but also, more importantly, to the growth and success of our manufacturing clients.
Our graphic remains a good depiction of the value of the Manufacturing Connector® and how we think about projects:
- Holistic view: We start by taking the holistic view across the organization from talent, culture, infrastructure, business processes, ERP and related technologies, and metrics. We also review demand and supply (planning, supply chain, and SIOP), business processes and disciplines (process optimization and harmonization), and intelligence and predictive systems (ERP & technology) and assess capabilities, capacities, and readiness to deliver growth and performance goals.
- Design path forward: We develop recommendations, quick wins, and a supply chain roadmap to include upgrade opportunities and best practices with an eye on future proofing, scalability, and sustainability. We leverage our practical approach, extensive experience, and collaborative style to develop a plan that will fund itself with quick wins, sequenced by key factors and prioritized by impact and capability (within reasonable milestones). The details of our approach are illustrated below.
- Bottom line results: Our approach delivers three key results simultaneously – customer value, profitable growth, and accelerated cash flow. Generally, our clients are interested in achieving profitable, scalable growth and sustainable results. In essence, we “teach clients to fish” with our SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) rollouts, planning and supply chain transformation programs, and ERP and related technology upgrades. Our approach drives resiliency, visibility, scalability, profitability and growth.
This Manufacturing Connector® is relevant at each step of the process as it lies at the center of our services with our unique SIOP success. Connecting and aligning demand and supply, customers and suppliers, teams and leaders, and other collaboration partners such as training and education, technology, trusted advisors, and equipment resources is vital to success.
